As our guest - either for business or pleasure - you will experience the unique combination of staying in a 19th century building with all the contemporary amenities of today. We will welcome you in this unique canal-side establishment in a pleasant atmosphere with the utmost respect for privacy and comfort. The magnificent facade of the house, a monumental building, already indicates the beautiful interior. The moment one enters , the marble floor is revealed with a solid oak staircase leading to two enchanting suites. These have a view on the Prinsengracht at the front of the house. The stairs also lead to seven homely suites and rooms at the back that look out on the patio.

The patio is an elegantly styled garden with a rustic atmosphere, unique in the busy centre of Amsterdam. You can enjoy breakfast, a drink or afternoon tea,under an old maple tree.

The two large executive suites at the front each have five large, high windows to reveal a breathtaking view over the canals and the architectural sights across the canal.

The six large suites and rooms at the back of the house look out over the patio and the reverse side of the fascinating facades of the 17th (Golden) century buildings .

The room on the top floor offers a breathtaking view on the spire of the Rijksmuseum and the 16th century Montelbaans Tower adjacent to the old city gate.

Breakfast can be provided either in your room, downstairs in the Strawinsky room or in the summer on the Patio. In the Strawinsky Room, between the beautiful Irish linnen drapes covering the five French doors, daylight shines on the beautiful paintings. The grand piano and the generously set tables form the perfect ambiance for a unique and relaxed start of the day. After a day of business meetings or after exploring the splendid city, you are pampered with tea, sweet delicacies and a glass of wine.

Each of the 9 deluxe rooms and suites have been designed individually in a specific style. This has been achieved by mixing antiques with modern accents. All suites are decorated with colorful walls and windows in combination with contrasting fabrics. The suites have been furnished with carefully selected antique and contemporary items such as beautiful settees, large comfortable chairs, elegant tables and stylish cabinets and modern and classical art. All suites and rooms are equipped with: Bang & Olufsen DVD-set, hifi stereo set with radio and cd-player, wireless internet, English box spring mattresses (twin), blankets that are specially woven for Seven One Seven, 100 % cotton sheets and pillow-slips, towels and bathrobes, minibar, safe, stationery and adjustable heating and airconditioning.
All bathrooms are equipped with: Bath tub with shower (except Franz Liszt and Charles Dickens), separate shower (except Room at the Top), separate toilet, hairdryer and razor-socket (220 volt), bathrobes, slippers and Chopard products.

The same stairs also provide access to seven, spacious suites and rooms with a view of the Patio. During the summers you can enjoy the elegantly laid out Patio under the old maple tree. Here, once again, the emphasis is on creating a relaxed atmosphere, a home far away from home.

Meetings & Functions
Here at Hotel Seven one Seven we open up our Strawinsky room and the Library to hold meetings and other business events for those in search of a location with a touch of elegance and exclusivity.
For larger groups up to 16 people, our Strawinsky room is suitable for meetings and events in need of more space and, weather permitting, the added benefit of access to our quiet patio for a breath of fresh air.
For smaller groups up to 8 people, our Library is suitable for meetings in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Prinsengracht. If so desired, we can arrange to have lunch and drinks served during meetings. You also have the opportunity to rent all necessary equipment for a successful meeting, such as a projector, a projector screen and/or flip-charts with complimentary high speed Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.

Parking
The ‘de Hoofdstad’ car park is located diagonally across the street from the hotel. We can reserve a space for you in advance.

The Strawinsky Room and the Library are particularly suitable for meetings or other business occasions.

The building, which dates from the 17th century, is now one of the few intimate `boutique hotels`. The interior can be characterised as warm and homely while at the same time chic and exclusive. There are two rooms in the hotel that lend themselves especially well to a celebratory gathering such as a wedding. The first is the cozy library with its splendid fireplace, and beautiful view over the Prinsengracht Canal. This room is suitable for a small party up to 6 people. The second room is the impressive Strawinsky Room with its five French windows opening into the charming patio. This room is suitable for parties up to 20 people.
